Privilege Manager Client
Users submit their requests to run certain programs by using the Privilege Manager Client, pmrun. For each request, the user can specify a program name and optionally a host on which the program will run.
Client commands can be issued either in the foreground or background. If commands are run in the background, the same shell process can continue to be used.
Responses from the Client can be restricted to a small-designated range of reserved port numbers. This enhances the security of communications between the Client and Master daemon and simplifies configuration when the two must communicate across a firewall.
