Privilege Manager Master Daemon
The Master daemon, pmmasterd, is Privilege Manager’s decision-maker. The Master daemon receives requests from the Privilege Manager Client and evaluates them according to the policy defined in the configuration file.If the Client request is accepted the Master daemon instructs the Local daemon to run the request in a controlled account such as root.
There can be multiple Master daemons in the Privilege Manager environment to avoid having a single point of failure.
